The short stuff
1) What I'm doing: I took myself on a 'creative date' to an exhibition at the National Gallery for Australia that showcased modernist paintings for Berlin’s Museum Berggruen with Australian works. I'm not great with modern art, but making myself be open to it if a few hours was cathartic. I also saw the subtle, thoughtful French film Jane Austen Wrecked my Life, which I throughly enjoyed.
2) What I'm reading: On audio, I've just begun Pepper Basham's The Highland Heist. I also visited Canada via Carolyn Miller's new release Muskoka Miracle.
3) What I am writing: Work on My Vintage Heart continues. I am also brainstorming new ideas, getting them pitch-ready for publishers. WWII books are out of fashion with traditional publishers, so I've been hitting the history books to look for ideas from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I'll keep you posted.
4) What I am cooking: This Ottolenghi pasta dish is reigning supreme in my kitchen ATM.
5) A pupdate: He's just pup, in need of a groomer, sitting in the winter sun, asking you to love him.
