Brennan Anderson is a history academic with a hit podcast, so why is he taking orders at a Canberra coffee shop? And more importantly, how does Elodie begin a conversation with the man whose voice got her through her break up? But when Elodie’s grandmother asks her help solving a family mystery from WWII, Brennan is just the man to help.

As they pull at the thread of her family’s past, their shattering discoveries threaten to undermine their own blossoming relationship. Can a common love of all things old help them overcome their own fraught personal histories?
